| Due to the social nature of the JCTR’s objectives, right from the beginning we have kept contact with other social centres in Africa and elsewhere. Some of the Jesuit and allied social centres are Silveira House [Zimbabwe], Inades [Ivory Coast], Cepas [DRC], Jesuit Hatrimani Centre [Kenya] Jesuit Centre for Social Faith and Justice [Canada]. Centre of Concern [Washington D.C.], Woodstock Theological Centre [Washington DC] and the Centre for Faith and Justice [Ireland]. Again due to the social nature of the Centre’s objectives, we are interested in what other non-governmental organizations are thinking and doing in the social areas. |

| A number of organizations within Zambia and Malawi are equally interested in the JCTR’s activities and share its views and activities. For example we actively cooperate with the Catholic Centre for Justice, Development and Peace in Zambia and the Centre for Social Concern in Malawi. | ||||||||||

Moreover, the JCTR cooperates each year with the Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace in making the pre- and post-budget assessment of the social priorities and achievements of the Zambian government. The JCTR has been offering consultancy services to different people on various subjects of social description. For instance, the Centre receives students studying for their higher degrees, and individuals sent by organizations within the country and from abroad. They use the Centre’s resources to examine aspects of the economy and society, church and lay leadership and to prepare papers for presentation at seminars or workshops within the country and outside. United Nations agencies also have used JCTR staff for consultancies in areas of social development. At the level of the Church, the Centre collaborates closely in Zambia with the Zambia Episcopal Conference (ZEC), Council of Churches of Zambia (CCZ) and Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ). Outside Zambia and Malawi, a very key connection is with the Jesuit "Faith and Justice" centres worldwide (listed above) The JCTR cooperates with advocacy efforts for social justice of international groups such as, OXFAM, AFRODAD, EURODAD, IJND, Vatican Justice and Peace, World Council of Churches, CIDSE, etc. |
