Dear
Friends of the JCTR Bulletin:: We hope that that question has been on your lipd also, along with millions (thousands? hundreds?) of other faithful readers who have wondered what has happened to our regular publication. Well here is the issue, and we hope that you find it well worth waiting for! The delay was caused by our saying good-bye to Alex Muyebe, S.J., Assistanr Director of JCTR and Editor of the Bulletin for the past two years. Alex, who has moved to Nairobi to continue theological studies at Hekima College in preparation for priestly ordination, will be solely missed for his many strong contributions to JCTR, in vision, work and community building. Before leaving the office, he did manage to pull together the very solid and rich set of articles that this issue presents. One of the articles, by Dr. Ken Johnson, S.J., continues the exploration Alex began in the last issue about the strike of Doctors. Alex's article was widely reprinted and circulated and stirred considerable reflection. We expect that Ken's article will also prompt social and theological reflection. Muweme Muweme, newly-appointed Assistant to the Director, will now take over the task of editing theBulletin and will be welcoming your input by way of articles, letters, suggestions, etc. Complete letter |
